At Lala Rokh we have taken great care to taste every wine, beer and spirit to assure compatibility of the particular beverage with the unique flavors that Persian cuisine has to offer.  Wine of course has been a major part of Persian dining experience for thousands of years. 

In fact, a few years ago The New York Times published an article about the findings of Dr. Patrick E. McGovern, an archeological chemist, and his colleagues at the University of Pennsylvania Museum were able to estimate the “earliest chemical evidence of wine” making to a village in Azerbaijan, Iran5,000 BC (read more about Persia and wine by clicking here).
